Digimon World 3

It’s been a nice week off from school. I had compulsory stuff to do however, and it’s the kind of unpleasant stuff for me: the kind of work where you do your part and wait for someone to do the next, but this person is just not as accurate in timing and working as you wish him/her to be. So you spend some unpleasant moments waiting on him/her, constantly messaging him/her, trying your best not to lose your nerves because after all, this person doesn’t effing owe you a living and thus, as any good Roccie, would drop out everything even if it’s not good for his/her sake because you said:

-”Dude, next time you’d better not say you’re-a-perfectionist-very-concerned-about-timing-making-the-best-job-in-the-promised-deadlines because you ARE NOT obviously…Next time, let people judge you and don’t judge yourself, ok? well at least, not before doing the work”

But let’s forget about this for the moment although I may speak about it later because the “team work” notion is really starting to puzzle me O____o

Basically, my whole vacation was about drinking water, drinking tea, catching up on emails, playing games (Thank you Y for the PSP! you broke a bone in my heart Y__Y), drinking more water, drinking more tea, eating home-made food, visiting old friends I didn’t get to see since summer, drinking more water, spending nice time with uncles, drinking tea, catching up on friends blogs and projects…

The nicest thing I came across is Kazu’s latest article about a vintage game she played lately. One of my favourites entries and writing material indeed for I’ve got a keen passion of playing vintage games!

Maybe it’s because they don’t use a lot of ressources (since I’m too busy buying stationary and books to remember consoles and that I broke for a while now the available ones), or it’s because the pixelized looks act on me…I wonder, but what I don’t wonder about is the games I come to play when my gaming urges take over my time.

The fire of my passion decided to consume Digimon World 3, thus resulting in more than 19 hours of playing by far and still not getting enough!

Plateform: PlayStation

Genre: Role-Playing game

Summary: A child called Junior enters an online virtual reality MMORPG called “Digimon Online”, which is run by the “MAGAMI” corporation. A terrorist attack on the Internet traps Junior and his friends inside the game and he sets out to stop them with his Digimon partners.

Digimon World 3 was one of the first RPGs I played on my PSOne and I loved every bit of it, even the running up and down the forests and maps without being able to avoid annoying mobs, the scary sudden music of battles, the crappy translation that makes you stuck somewhere and unable to progress unless you go on and speak with every effing NPC in the hope you’ll unleash something…I loved every bit of it and now I’m playing it again on ePSXe and I fear for my scholar self when back to school: would I be able to hold my urges? Shall I uninstall before going back?? Man, a scholar gamer reader worker life is pretty hard O_______o

That cool moment when you meet the three musketeers who’ll follow you all the way through with poink-poink sounds

There was nothing to notice about the game OST but the theme of South Badland is so dreamy. Plus, the digivolution is always “a something” for me to see, especially I’ve got a team with two of my favourite digimons, Patamon and Renamon. If only Gatomon was playable, it’s be awesome!

So, I think I’ve spent enough time on the internet now, I should go back to the game: short story, people are turned into pigs and I kinda feel lonely being the only human around: dude, I can’t get anyone to digi-battle or card-battle.

Oh boy! the card battles *____*

But first, I shall go to the loo and maybe grab another teapot on my way
